NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD

🎃 What's the scariest movie you've ever watched? And is it actually a great horror movie, or did it just traumatize you when you were younger?
This week, Shoky and Other Kevin dive into their Top 5 Horror Movies, debating everything from Hereditary, Sinners, The Blair Witch Project, and The Ring to classics like Halloween, Jaws, Alien, and The Exorcist.
Which movies genuinely scared us? Which ones deserve their legendary reputations? And why do some horror movies become laughably ridiculous after the first sequel?
Along the way, we discuss horror movies that haven't aged well, honorable mentions, terrible sequels, and the difference between being genuinely terrified and just getting startled by a jump scare.
Plus, Tyler returns with more complaints about terrible drivers, we revisit the days when $20 could buy an absurd amount of fast food, and Meme of the Week takes us down another completely unnecessary rabbit hole.
It's horror, nostalgia, questionable rankings, and the usual awkward nonsense.
What's YOUR Top 5 Horror Movies?Drop your rankings in the comments, and tell us which movie scared you the most!

This week on **Now You Made It Awkward**, we're joined by author R.D. Omberg to talk about her debut novel, *The Last DJ*!
From wild stories behind the microphone to the disappearing world of traditional radio, Rhonda shares her journey from DJ to published author.
But why is Shoky propositioning Rhonda to get in a closet and tell him a story? 😂
How does a literary agent get defeated by an email attachment? And how did a conversation about writing a book turn into casting Jenna Ortega for a potential Netflix series?
Somewhere along the way, we even invented "Mystery Violence Theater" and immediately started arguing over the rights. Because apparently, nobody learned anything from the publishing industry. 😂

This week Other Kevin comes to visit! We follow up a little on the Flat Earth discussion from last week due to K2's insistence that the Moon is made of cheese. If a planetary system orbits a Black hole instead of a star, what would you call it?
Shoky briefly discusses HBO's Lanterns as the finale approaches. Has the show gotten too much hate online? Also he finally took the time to watch the Quentin Tarantino hit: "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" and gives his review of the movie.
The boys also discuss how gross girls are and how a birthday purchase for Mrs Shoky has the household shook!
And our big discussion for the episode is about a new court case surrounding the Cornell 7 rape case.  ⁨@AngryCops⁩  did a tremendous breakdown of the previous case and what event led up to the current civil suit from Jane Doe. Is it truly a sexual assault situation, or did some college kids get way out of hand with drugs and alcohol at a party? Where does personal responsibility ever come into play?

We have a dense episode this week. If you were a young boy in the 90s, what was your favorite fighting game? And why was it Mortal Kombat? Do you remember what combos you would spam to anger your friends?
Coincidentally Shaun asks us if we ever acted out play fights with our friends after watching martial arts movies.
Tyler asks us how and why Flat Earthers are seeing a massive resurgence in the last few years? Leading to a larger discussion about whether or not we actually traveled to the Moon and what is space actually made of?
We also have meme of the week brought to you by the latest mayor of Gotham city.
And finally we have a long discussion about DEI initiatives and affirmative action, specifically within Harvard University. How, in 2026 can we argue that any policy, based purely on the color of your skin, is NOT racist?
And yes, Shoky does indeed say the "N-Word"

We are back this week with sad news. Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, has passed away. The voice of most of our childhood, though we likely didn’t even realize it.
On top of that Tim Curry also died. Though Shoky struggles to remember his name. So many movie roles. So many iconic characters.
Because its been a few weeks, we have a multitude of questions from Shaun and Tyler. And a long list of Memes that were submitted to the discord.
We have a hefty topic this episode. Last week on Man Vs Morning they discovered that schools in New York are making religious accommodations for Muslim students or teachers while denying any other religions.

Love bugs are everywhere, the swarms are insane, and somehow the old rumor that they were genetically engineered from mosquitoes is making the rounds again. So naturally, we had to dig into it.
Shoky also puts Tim’s welding skills to work on a brand-new custom shifter, because if you have a friend who can weld, you might as well make him useful. Shaun sends in a question about the smelly kids everyone remembers from school, and things get awkward fast.
Then the show takes a more serious turn. Right before recording, we learned that country music legend Dolly Parton had passed away at 80. Shoky also shares what he discovered after using ChatGPT to piece together his late father’s Army service from a handful of vague stories and memories.
And finally, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War absolutely exploded last week with huge changes from the manga that may have turned one of the series’ biggest moments into one of the best anime adaptation upgrades we’ve ever seen.

We are back after some time off after the Episode 200 Live Shows! And we are back to full cast as well!
We catch up with Chad and Jefe, what they've been up to the last few weeks. Disney held their D23 convention and as usual had big reveals. Such as three-quels for Frozen, Zootopia, and The Incredibles. They also revealed more of the upcoming new cast for the X-men in the MCU.
Speaking of comic book news, DC's Lanterns has started on HBO. A gritty, sci-fi, cop show with aliens. The first episode was met with mixed reviews. Some people hating it for not being more action oriented. Some just enjoyed this new take on the Green Lantern mythos.
Tyler asks us a couple of questions. Have we ever purchased something that ended up being useless or unused for one reason or another? And is there any current TV show that has reached mass audience popularity?
Shaun sends in a message as well, for the first time in months, updating us on his life and asking our thoughts on religious myths. Such as: did Jesus have children that have been kept hidden by secret societies?
Sad news again this week as another young celebrity has passed away. Hayden Panettiere. At the time of recording it was unclear as to the cause of death.

We have reached the conclusion of Episode 200! The final 100 questions, with a slightly different panel including Charlie, Grace and Ed joining in!
Recorded on July 11, 2026 at Mad Llama Brewing in Spring Texas.
We laughed, we cried, we lost a Jefe halfway through, but we kept it F'ing Awkward!
The second half of the questionnaire is as follows:
Would You Rather? - Between 2 not great options, which would you rather do?
Yes or No? - Simple answers. Do you agree or not?
The first TRIVIA and returning segment:
POKEMON or Prescription - here's a really weird name. Is it a fictional fighting animal or something your doctor recommends?
New for this year:
Gets one MORE or one LESS sequel - movie franchises that needs some growth or are desperate for a trim.
And finally we wrap this giant questionnaire with a one of TRIVIA game:
DEEP THROAT or Disney? - Is this movie quote from your favorite childhood film, or is it from one of the most famous adult movies from the 70s?
Thanks to Stephen and Arrian for letting us take over the Llama Loft, and for all the help setting up and audio difficulties. And for being great sports and reading questions with us!

Welcome to the beginning of the massive Episode 200 Super Awkward Questionnaire! And our first ever live show held at Frankenboltzzzz Brewing in Dobbin Texas. I am joined by many of my friends on panel including special guest: comedian Jon Coleman!
The first half of the Questionnaire is as follows:
EITHER/OR - pick between these 2 options.
One Goes Away Forever - of these things one has got to go.
Our first Trivia section and the retirement of this game:
HALLMARK or PORNHUB - Does the movie title belong to an adult movie, or a somewhat family friendly movie from your favorite female coded network?
ONE GETS TO LIVE FOR 10 MORE YEARS -  between 2 dead celebrities, choose who gets 10 more years of life.
And the finale, a new game coined by Jefe himself:
RACEHORSE or SEX ACT - Is this a name for a horse, or something you do with your partner?
