NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep81: "I'll Show You My Balrog And My Banana!"

James has come back to visit the show this week! I learn quite a bit about his history with dating 2 different women named Shelly at the same time. We go over Netflix live action adaptations of our favorite shows like One Piece and the newly released Avatar: The Last Airbender. 
And well.....one of those got decent reviews. 
Also leading to a discussion about English dubbed anime vs original Japanese voice actors. All while sampling some of the bourbons I have on hand here in the Shoky household.

Dante and Shoky back at it again. Life has been chaotic for the last few months slowing down production on the show, but at least things are starting to look up a little. Do you guys remember Captain Planet? Great show for us 80s kids to learn about ecology and treating the world and other people with respect and love. Also punny bad guy names. Recently I went to see Godzilla Minus One. Fantastic film, highly recommend. And then we discuss anti-cancel culture and the return of Alex Jones along with how some online creators are more worried about gate keeping than sharing experience and knowledge to let others come up.

This week Gen V season 1 has come to an end with a heck of a setup for The Boys season 4. Loki is coming to a close with a multiverse shattering episode which ties into the Across the Spiderverse movie that Shoky watched this week.
Marvel seems to be having more issues with their series and movies having major re-writes including the upcoming Blade movie. Also Blumhouse knocked it out of the park with the Five Nights at Freddie's movie. Well done even if some so called fans didn't like it.
Disney decided that with competition happening and major backlash already they're taking their live action Snow White back to the drawing board. Jonathan Majors isn't out of hot water just yet and Marvel may be pivoting to Dr Doom from Kang now. Also Facebook disabled the "Back" button for no good reason.
