NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep160: "No Kids/ No Dogs/ No Beer"

This week Chad had to miss out but it is fate that Louie got to join us since the main topic does involved his history with the show. We discuss the policies at Copperhead Brewery that have basically lead us to boycott them. They decide that with they're remodel no dogs are allowed INSIDE the taproom. Meaning animals and they're owners, I.E. customers have to sit outside.
This is a complete 180 from the old policy of "all dogs welcome."
Since that directly effects my co-host and his dogs that have frequented this establishment in years past, we decided it best to speak out against this policy. They also have established new rules that children must be kept within arms reach of parents/guardians and all children under 18 are prohibited after 7pm. I don't know why 7pm was chosen. Nothing seems to be different, but these are the rules.
This show has a long history with this brewery. It's where I (Shoky) met almost everyone you've seen on this show. Including other friends and relationships that go back nearly 10 years.
Tyler also messages in an epic rant about traffic. We discuss horrible driving habits, accidents, and drivers that just need to not be on the road.
Not much new on the horizon, but we do have a new Frankenstein movie coming from Guillermo Del Toro.
Oh and the government shut down over Dems wanting to fund healthcare for illegal aliens in this country.

NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep159: "Wednesday, Thursday, Friday AND Saturday Addams"

We are back! This past weekend the massive memorial for Charlie Kirk happened in Arizona. Reported to have over 100k people in attendance between 2 stadiums and the surrounding area. We saw the leaders of this country get on stage and actively show their Christian side. Other than Trump. He did what Trump does. It was a powerful moment in our modern history. But people on the other side claimed it was a gigantic fascist rally. 
Sure. 
This week Shaun asks us about forgiveness after Ericka Kirk publicly forgave Charlies shooter. Do you think you could openly forgive someone who took away your spouse? 
Tyler then asks us what our preferred protein of choice with any type of Asian cuisine is. Personally I am almost always chicken. Let us know in the comments
Also Tyler asks about woke-ism again. We discuss how race and gender somehow got tied to this leftist ideology and the ever changing values of the movement. The greatest example being Gretta Thundberg starting out as an anti-oil, climate change activist. Now she says that climate change is about freeing Palestine. 
On a brighter note DC announced the next Superman movie: "Man of Tomorrow" will be coming in the next few years. Peacemaker is already a great show and the" Lanterns" series with Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre is on the way. It's about time the Lantern Corps got it's big screen due.

NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep157: "Just In Time For Pumkpin Spice Season, I'm Flat Earthing Again"

This episode was delayed a week. Sorry. We recorded this on September 9th.
This week Shoky discusses a fight he had with the missus. When one person cleans up a messy house: is it better to ask the other person where their stuff should be put away or leave it all in a singular, if incorrect location?
We mention the weatherman who discovers his screen is all touch screen. Is this a universal guy thing to be excited at a new discovery with a new piece of equipment?
Also Shoky brings up an incredibly badly parked car. Do people just not know how to park in a cul-de-sac or is this person just uncaring for traffic? Should  cars park parallel or perpendicular to the curb in an open court? 
Shaun asks us about an alien on Alien battle. Who would win in a fight: Calvin from "Life" or a Xenomorph from Aliens?Tyler asks us: if you had a perfect world to live in and grew bored with it, would you choose to disintegrate yourself?
 Cracker Barrel heard the people's outcry and changed their logo back! It does seem pretty convenient how quickly they turned it around. Do you think it was all a marketing ploy?
Speaking of Aliens, Alien Earth continues to get better and better with the flash back to how the Maginot crashed in the start of the series. 
Finally we discuss the tragic murder of Iryna Zarutska. The Ukrainian immigrant that was attacked on the subway in Charlotte. The assailant has a history of 14 arrests and mental illness yet was out on the streets. He claimed that she was reading his mind and stabbed her several times in the neck while onlookers did nothing. Why is our justice system failing the general public? People like this should be in an asylum or prison.

NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep158: 'Charlie Kirk Is Gone, How Did We Get Here?"

It has been a crazy 7 days for this country. On September 10, 2025 Charlie Kirk was assassinated in Utah at a Turning Point USA event. The gunman firing from a distant rooftop piercing his neck and killing him almost instantly. In the ensuing chaos the shooter escaped. The FBI and local officials worked hard with the public and in 33 hours the perpetrator turned himself in. 
What we know now is that while grew up in a Christian, republican household, he (Tyler) had been radicalized by the far left ideology. Declaring that Charlie was hateful in his speeches. That he was fascist, racist, homophobic and transphobic. 
Charlie leaves behind a massive organization in TPUSA. Changing the hearts and minds of young people across the world and bringing them to Conservative values. More importantly he leaves behind a family. A wife Erica and 2 small children. 
How did we get to this point? Where did we go so wrong that it became necessary to execute a man who just sat down and talked with people? That's all he did. Debating with people about politics. He loved God, he loved America, and he was shot for it. How did the woke cult get this far? What even is wokeness? I give the definition I've come to believe and do my best to show how it all seems to come back to that. 
This episode we discuss our normal activities before we get to Charlie. Brad is filling in for Chad this time and I'm glad he did. He brought insight I didn't expect. We have our first look at Liam Hemsworth in the Witcher. Avengers Doomsday leaks and promos have been dropping like crazy. 
And Shaun asks: " what we do to make ourselves happy in these dark days?"

This week Jefe is back and he's brought along his best friend Scott to tell the grand tale of their nearly 2 week journey from Texas to Alaska and back again! It wasn't just them though. Jeff's father in law was the impetus for the trip. One last bucket list road trip to the Yukon. 
And boy was it a trip of a lifetime. Vehicle failures. Creepy guys who may or may not have a body count. Stolen electronics. An RV almost learned to fly. 
This is the story of the longest U-turn in History!

NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep155: "BURN"

We are back this week still minus a Jefe because he's still on his way back from the far off land of Canada. But Shoky has a tale from the event at Frankenboltzzzz and the upcoming On Location Episode. 
We discuss major electrical failures in vehicles (sorry Louie) as Corvette seems to having a meltdown. Brand new cars catching fire at the gas pump. Well when not on fire the ZR1 and ZR1X are burning up records at the Nurburgring, knocking the Mustang GTD off it's throne immediately.
We have 3 questions sent in the this week:Shaun asks what movies or series do we watch on a seasonal basis? 
Tyler asks about CBD/THC beverages and our experience with them. Also bringing up that the younger generations are leaning away from drinking. But are they switching out one vice for another? Leaning more into drugs than alcohol.
Jefe then wonders, if we as children ever created any culinary abominations? He needs help.
Shoky began watching "Alien Earth" on HULU which goes back to the franchise horror roots and dense story telling.  But seemingly despite its great cast, amazing sets, well done special effects, people aren't happy with the outcome by Episode 3.
Speaking of an alien Earth: Peacemaker Season 2 began as well. Coming out swinging with an emotional roller coaster as our favorite bad superhero discovers the multiverse and wonders if he can indeed leave his life behind. What would you do if you could have your dream life? Would you leave everything you have?
And of course we can't not talk about the Cracker Barrel debacle. They changed the legendary logo and  have begun remodeling the restaurants to remove country store feel. People are NOT happy. But is it real change or something more devious? Why have restaurants gone away from a sense of whimsy and fun and replaced it with cold, clinical, boring slabs of white and grey? Why were things better in the 80s and 90s? Why did we remove the fun and flamboyant nature of our favorite eateries? 
Oh and Trump said you can't burn the US Flag anymore. Is this a violation of freedom of speech? Is burning the flag speech? Why can't countries have pride in their symbols anymore? Look at Britain where they aren't allow to fly their flag at all!

NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep154: "Going Back In The Closet"

Back this week unlike certain congress people. Shoky has been doing reviews again after nearly a year long hiatus. Jeff is about to leave for Alaska. Chad has a shiny head thanks to a poorly placed light.Shoky is going to Unsub Live in a couple months and at the same time Brandon Herrera is running for office again in Texas district 23. With the changes to the districts and a couple more years of experience he is likely to win. 
The National Guard has been deployed in Washington DC to help control the rampant crime. 
We will be on location live at Frankenboltzzzz Brewing Co THIS weekend August 23rd for a charity comedy event!
The Sandman has come to a close on Netflix. After a banger of a first season can the second and final season still hold up for the King of Dreams? 
Shaun asks us what vehicle we learned to drive in. 
RKF Jr is removing food dyes and other things from our food and also some ingredients in known childhood shots. 
Apparently there is a "Whites Only" town being established in Arkansas that is causing and uproar. Is it wrong in it's idea though? Or is it just going to end up being another culty commune?
Our favorite local brewery has a new owner and is back into production leading up to a Grand Reopening. 
Shoky and Mrs Shoky watched a series called "Take Care of Maya" on Netlfix. A documentary of a young girl with a rare pain disease that is taken from her family and held as a medical prisoner while the doctors make her mother into a criminal. Leading to a massive investigation into the hospital system uncovering how many more people have been through the same. What would you do if you took a sick child into the doctor and walked out framed a criminal?

NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep153: "Sigs and Glizzys"

Unlike Texas House Democrats we are back this week! Seriously, it's a problem that people who were elected to office have run away to other states to avoid casting votes for their constituents and doesn't seem like there is any legal ramifications. If I just got mad at my boss and stopped showing up for work I wouldn't have a job after just a few days. Why do these people get a different treatment?
Even though we are missing a Chad, Shaun asks us is there a proper way to eat corn-dogs, ice-cream or popsicles in public as a man without looking gay? Personally I think if you think it's gay then perhaps that says more about your sexuality than mine. But this leads to a discussion about what Shoky cooked this week: the Trailer Park Wellington. The ultimate fancy corn-dog!
In far more important news, the gun manufacturer Sig Sauer is in hot water for their model P320, and the military versions the M17 and M18, just going off! There are hundreds of claims with a few injuries including now even a death of young Airman. A few gun-tubers did some testing and showed how and why the pistols are randomly going off leading to Sig pulling the gun from production and apologizing. 
No, that's what they should do. They instead blamed owners and operators for not knowing what they're doing and claiming youtubers were just trying to get famous off the situation. Not a great look for such a big Firearms maker.
Speaking of making fire, King of the Hill has returned to the air after 15 years of retirement. Hank, Bobby, and the Rainy Street gang have all come back as though they never left. Is this legacy reboot-quel worthy of the crown? Hulu seems to think so as they even went so far in promoting the show that they had famed southern podcaster Theo Von interview Hank Hill himself. You should check it out!
